Title: connecting usb connected hd to xbmc
Post by: chrissiemens4 on June 16, 2014, 07:38:05 PM
I have a DIR-865L with a 1TB hd attached via USB. Wondering if anyone has had any luck using XBMC and streaming directly off of a usb connected hard drive. If so, what parameters did you use to connect? If i access my hd from a browser, i type file:\\192.168.0.1\usb_A1. I have tried several different set ups in XBMC and none seem to find it or connect.

Thanks for your help!

This xbmc may not be compatible in using the USB drive connected on the 865L as the USB is mainly for connecting from the WAN side using mydlink apps and remote access and some devices that support DLNA.
