Title: DCS-931L becomes unresponsive (Needs a re-start very frequently)
Post by: akky on June 17, 2014, 02:50:28 AM
Just got my DCS-931L camera and configured it quickly.
However I see that it becomes stuck very frequently if I watch camera feed via its webpage.
Then I need to reboot the camera for it to work again.
Not sure why it is happening...
I also have a dlink DCS-920 (now obsolete) and it is quite stable as compared to this model

Any insights would be appreciated......

What browser are you using? You may consider trying a different browser.

Am using Google chrome browser... It does hang while viewing with D-View cam software also.
I think I have some wifi range issues..
I am testing the camera more and will try to be certain if it is indeed a range issue.

Thanks for ur support...

You can try placing the camera closer to your wireless router to rule out distance as a possible culprit.

Yes, it was indeed a range issue. the camera seems to work fine now.

Thanks....

Glad to help.
You can try changing the Channel in the DCS-931L web UI to see if that allows you to get more range.
