Title: Un-Blocking ports

I have a DIR-645, which has served me well. I've been going back and forth with Verizon wireless for a couple weeks now cause of a lousey phone signal which has nothing to do with dlink. Verizon sent me a "Network Extender" which acts as a mini cell tower in your home, but goes thru your p.c. The extender doesnt seem to be able to connect, Verizon sent me a list that looks like this: Ports
                                          tcp   53
                                                 52428
                                          udp  500
                                                  4500
                                                   52428
Then a list of 8/ I.P. addresses. d-link says the i.p. addresses are invalid. Also I can find no mention of this device listed It's a Samsung Network Extender SCS-2U01WAR.
I'm sure all my ethernet ports work just fine, I tried plugging my computer into different ones and no problem. Does this router not support this device? what do I need to do? I'm really not too technical so please be as spicific as possible. Thanks

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations

Try putting the PC which this extender is connected to in the DMZ on the 645. I have a VoIP device from ATT that does the same thing for cell signals. It's always put in the DMZ on any router.

  • What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?

Thanks for being so quick. My I.S.p. Is Brighthouse Their cable modum is a motorola SB614 Looks like my hardware on the dlink is A1 and the firmware is 1.0, which I just tried to up-grade, but I keep getting some adobe file that won't open after it's un-zipped, so I don't know what to do next.

Under Advanced/Firewall...De-militarized Zone. Puts a device on the internet with out any router processing. Works well for VoIP since VoIP doesn't need any management from the router side.

Ok, I did that dmz thing, thanks so much. It now seems to be working. Still can't up-grade the firmware. That sure shouldn't be an adobe program. IT says its corrupt or something, But the extender is working now.Live long and prosper
