Title: Setting up an Access Point
Post by: angusW on June 23, 2014, 02:02:06 PM
I would like to setup my 810 as an AP but I'm unsure of how to go about this.

hwv: A1
fwv: 1.01
I'm in Canada, near Toronto.

My main router is an Asus RT-N66U which is in my den at the front of my house. The 810 will be in my shop in the backyard. I'll be connecting to it mostly via my phone but also plan on setting up a notebook in there as well.

I have not plugged the router in yet, just got it out of the box, so no resets have been done as far as I know.

Thanks for the quick reply FN.

On that guide you've posted, it says to "disable UPnP, DHCP...Change the LAN IP address..." Is that on my main router or the 810 which will be the AP?

Ok, I re-read the guide and it's talking about the AP router. Sorry  :-[
