Title: Has D-Link Been in contact with Ubicom?
Post by: Chunk on June 16, 2009, 09:43:27 PM
There is I guess at this stage, rumor, floating around that the base code or something to do with the Ubicom IP5160 hardware is to blame, and that's why firmware after firmware are not resolving these router issues.

Anyone?

Interesting note on this.  I disable Automatic Classification.  Most of my internal traffic is easy to categorize, so less overhead for my router in my mind means better throughput for routing.  I wonder if the StreamEngine is causing conflicts.  I disable Dynamic Fragmentation.  Every comment about XBox Live says they don't support it.  I also set my QoS stratas at multiples of 32.  Not sure if it helps since I have no knowledge of how the QoS engine works, but anything that alleviates the math involved for splicing my traffic can't hurt.

I did see an article where they were going to become wrt compliant....maybe they did break the base code to achieve that. D100 please keep us posted if that helps (even if it just helps a little).

That was for the 825, not the 4500, or 655 or any other.
