I rent out my basement suite and I provide internet access to the tenants. My goal is to create a secure subnet (or at least reasonably secure) so that my tenants are on a sub-network and cannot see the parent network. And vice versa.
I purchased the DAP-1320 thinking that this would happen for free when I create a new SSID for the DAP-1320. However, when I am connected to the parent network, I can still see the tenants machines on the sub-network and they can see mine on the parent network. I was expecting that I would not be able to see anything from the child network and vice versa.
Is there a way to do this?
I'm not entirely sure if I have the terminology correct, so I apologize if I am not being clear. I can provide more information if you need.

- What Hardware version is your DAP? Look at sticker under DAP.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the DAPs web page under status.
- What region are you located?
I think you'll need to change to use a Wired AP mode on this DAP, then set up the DAPs IP address from the default 192.168.0.50 to 192.168.1.50.
What is your main host router Mfr and model #? Whats it's IP address?
