Good day
I need some help. I have an ip camera and a dlink router. I have an account on dlink.ddns.com. The problem is whenever we have a power failure the router resets its ddns ip address but the dlink.ddns.com server does not update the changes. I have to continuously go into the router and find the changed IP address and then change on the website. can anyone assist me on how to auto update these changes so i dont have to manualy change it on the website
Thanks

What model is the Camera and Router?
- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
- Are you wired or wireless connected to the router?
Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
- What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
- What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?

Hi there
The original firmware was AF_1.65_R01 and was upgraded to AF_1.72_R01. The router model is a DSL-2750U
I am connected via ADSL wired.
We had a power failure and when power came back on the IPV4 on router changed so i had to come into the shop to get the new IP so that i could link it to dlink.ddns.com. For some strange reason, it does not auto update.
I am located in Pretoria, South Africa.
Thanks for your reply. I really hope you will be able to assist me with this issue.

You may need to phone contact DDNS and or our regional D-Link support office and ask about the IP address not updating. It's known that when Modems and Routers reboot, ISP service may hand out a new WAN IP address due to security reasons and operation policy. If you want a continual IP address, you'll need to ask your ISP about a Static WAN IP address.

Was this working previously? if yes, have you gotten an email notification (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=60138) from Dyn.com regarding your dlinkddns.com account information? We are currently going through a Dyn.com service platform upgrade and verification of Serial Number and MAC address has become mandatory to continue to hold on to your dlinkddns.com free account. Check your email inbox or SPAM box to see if you have received it, if you have, follow the direction on the email to verify your free dlinkddns.com account.

Hi there.
Sorry was away for a few days. I have had no issues again so far but just waiting for the next power failure. Maybe after the system upgrade all should be fine.
Thanks will keep you posted
