Title: Making DIR-657 into an Access Point
Post by: pauwels69 on July 24, 2014, 03:30:05 AM
Hi all,

I am trying to setup my home with a whole new network.

From my ISP i got a modem router which is the DHCP-server.  I have an Asus RT-N66u who is working as an Access point.  But on my 1st floor i am not having great coverage.

I still have a DIR-657 which i wanted to install as an Access Point.  But i can't find it in the on the homepage setup.  Anybody can help me with this.?

I allready searched this forum but didn't find anything that explains how.

Thanks in advance!

Gr Kevin

Hi FurryNutz,

I am from Belgium.  I updated the firmware this morning.

Thanks for the link.  Just followed the simple steps and it works!

Thx for the assistance!
