Title: 5Ghz greyed out
Post by: jebediah on July 25, 2014, 12:23:33 PM
Hi guys.
Recently i bought a DIR-645 router.

Two problems i noticed is
1.The WI-FI signal is very weak, i even though the "power" i set on max.
2.The 5Ghz field is greyed out, so i can't select it. If i google the name everone says it should have both 2.5 and 5 Ghz. So have i missed samething?

Please confirm that you have a DIR-645.

Be advised that the DIR-645 is a 2.4Ghz only supporting router. 5Ghz was never supported on this router. It's a single band router. Most 5 and 6 series DIR routers are single 2.4Ghz band routers. DIR 8 series are dual band 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz.
