Title: a problem with this web page has caused IE to close and re-open
Post by: markguitre on July 28, 2014, 03:48:05 PM
After logging in to my account, connection to my DCS-942L cannot be
established. There is a brief attempt to connect, then after a few seconds I get the message: A problem with this webpage caused Internet Explorer  to close and re-open the tab...Internet Explorer then closes. This has been going on for more than a year with my older computer.
I just bought a new laptop and the same thing now happens!
Things I've tried: disabling all add-ons, logging in as administrator, updating Java, updating the firmware on the camera, updating IE to IE 11. How can I get this to work?

PC Web Browser Configurations
What browser are you using?
Try Opera or FF? If IE 8, 9, 10 or 11, set compatibility mode and test again.
Disable any security browser Add-ons like No Script and Ad-Block or configure them to allow All Pages when connected to the router.
Clear all browser caches.
Be sure to log into the Admin account on the router.
Try turning off these features in Chrome:
Top right corner, little bars for options > Settings > Settings (on left) > Show advanced settings.
Uncheck these:
Use a web service to help resolve navigation errors
Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar
Predict network actions to improve page load performance
Enable phishing and malware protection
