I have DIR-836L, and I have tried everything I know to get this to work. I have read an earlier post about all the settings, reserve the IP's, etc. Time, time zone is correct.....Done that. I have the most recent FW installed.
In troubleshooting, I am just trying to limit access during certain times - but it seems any site https:// and it goes right through, so most email, youtube, netflix, amazon, etc. Other sites, yep I get the blocked access message from the router.
So I decided to go the other route with website filter on schedule - same thing except amazon will be blocked.
Now that school is back in session, I am trying to limit internet use, but it seems that this isn't working the way I want to.
Is there a way to make this work?

Link>Welcome! (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=48135.0)
- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
- Are you wired or wireless connected to the router?
- Was a Factory Reset performed before and after any firmware updates then set up from scratch?
FW Update Process (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=42457.0)
- Was the router working before any firmware updates?
Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
- What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
- What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?
Does using http:// work?
