I have working internet but it's boring to be sharing a PC with a room mate and I thought I could use the d link access point, but I can't get it working and I want to know if I still need additional router to be able to use the access point

- What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
- What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?
- Is ISP Modem/Service using Dynamic or Static WAN IP addressing?
- What ISP Modem service link speeds UP and Down do you have?
Do you have a D-Link product already?

I have d link wireless 108 G access point ( DWL-2100AP and I would like to know if it would work with D Link router DSL 2045 T

Can you confirm the DSL model #? I don't see this model DSL modem listed anywhere...
Does it have a single LAN port or multiple LAN ports?

DSL-2540B....DSL modem and 4-port 10/100 Ethernet router.

Yes you should be able to connect the DWL right up to one of the open LAN Ports in back and set up the DWL in AP mode. Run thru the setup wizard on the DWL. Review the User Manual on how to install it.

Thanks.... Which means DSL-2540B....DSL modem and 4-port 10/100 Ethernet router and the DWL-2100AP access point I would be able to have a working wireless at home

Yes.
Phone Line>DSL modem<>DWL LAN wire connected to the modem.
<Other LAN wired devices connected to the modem.

do you mean I could just use the DWL or DSL+DWL or just my internet modem with the DWL ...... DSL+DWL and my internet modem

The DSL modem would and should be your only ISP modem...
