Hi,
I have a computer running openvpn behind the adsl router. The openvpn/computer has IP forwarding enabled so that i can reach all the computers behind the router remotely. Presently, i am able to connect to all the computers behind the router remotely except the router itself.
The router is dropping my connections. For example if i ping to the router the firewall log shows:
2014-8-25 3: 20: 56 10.8.0.1-192.168.1.1 ICMP vport2 DROP
How can configure the router for it to accept the requests from my vpn address 10.8.0.xx?
Previously i was using Netgear DG834g with the exact openvpn network and it used to work fine.

- What Hardware version is your modem? Look at sticker under modem.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the modems web page under status.
- What region are you located?

The firmware on my router is IN_1.08 and the region is India. The hardware version is U1.
I tried to setup an IP filter too, but still the router is dropping the request to 192.168.1.1. Just to clarify the VPN is working fine, i am able to access the network behind the adsl router. However, i also would like to reach the router 192.168.1.1 over vpn so i can configure it remotely.
The following IP filter did not work. The connection is still dropped.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
