My biggest concern with this device:
- I wanted to use my DNS-327L as from web-accessible storage, so I've registered a new dyndns account for this device. No matter if I enable or disable this service, I am always able to acces the device from external devices. I literally have no choice of stopping it until I disable port forwarding in my router. (there is no note that it may take several minutes for changes taking effect...)
- Network speed is very poor. I've used a USB connected hard drive with my DIR-860L and had almost 100% of the available upload speeded for downloads from external. Today I got 1/10 with downloads from DNS-327L, again no matter if the services are enabled or disabled.
A minor concern:
Every 2 seconds the hard drives do a little seek or something. Is this caused by the Raid-1 configuration? Or by using Western Digital Red 3 TB (WDC WD30EFRX) devices?
edit: I will make a new topic for the periodic activity

- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
- What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
- What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?
- Is ISP Modem/Service using Dynamic or Static WAN IP addressing?
- What ISP Modem service link speeds UP and Down do you have?
- Check cable between Modem and Router, swap out to be sure. Link> Cat6 is recommended. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAT6)
I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
