Post by: Rainphoenix on September 04, 2014, 12:29:46 PM
Hi everyone,

I have searched all around the web, but i didn"t find an answer/tuto, The 327L is compatible with fun_plug, or not ?
I'm looking for a NAS which allow to replace the OS by another one, debian for example ...

Thx :)

Fun_Plug is reported to work on the DNS-321/323.  A newer version released earlier this year is said to be stable on the DNS-320/320L/325.  If I had to guess, I would say the DNS-327L is too new to have been ported over yet.

I managed to install fun plug 0.7 successfully on my DNS-327L.

I used the tutorial from nas-tweaks.net which also provides a slightly updated install script.

However, fun_plug is no replacement for the NAS'es native operating system (!). It is just an extension.

Sorry, I meant to reference Alt-F, which is in fact a firmware replacement.  My comments earlier refer to Alt-F: A newer version released earlier this year is said to be stable on the DNS-320/320L/325.  If I had to guess, I would say the DNS-327L is too new to have been ported over yet.
