Title: Changing default workgroup
Post by: nzbog on September 06, 2014, 02:09:42 AM
I have a Dir_868L with v1.08 firmware.

How can I change the default workgoup name from 'WORKGROUP' so my existing Windows PCs can see router attached USB device files ?

Sorry delay in getting back to you. Some misunderstanding on my query I think.  I am not wanting to change the Workgroup on my PC I am wanting to change the workgroup on my DIR-868L (from WORKGROUP) so it matches the Workgroup name I have already established on my home network PC's.

I have gone thru the DIR868L menu option to option and see nothing which allows me to alter this from the default name.

Is this even possible ?

You can change the local LAN Domain under Setup/Networking...I usually change this to match the PCs work group name.
