Title: not sure if ports are open
Post by: revrenc on September 11, 2014, 09:51:09 AM
hey everyone, has anyone ever used the program nmap to check for open ports on the xbox, if so what did it say. i ran it on mine and it said this

PORT     STATE         SERVICE
3074/tcp filtered      unknown
3074/udp open|filtered unknown

the xbox one was on, signed into live, im just curious if anyones says open.

i have port 1-65535 port forwarded, and tried just the xbox live port forwarded, just in case. with same result

Yes I have open Nat!
You can't use upnp and port pf at the same time.
If you have 2 Xboxs your boned until dlink and ms fix a bug or whatever is wrong figured out and fixed.
If you only have one Xbox open Nat can be done with just upnp!
Undo ports hard reset the console then turn it on and back off normally wait about 5min then turn it on again your Nat should open!
I dug in hard to figure all this out if you have any questions or trouble please ask!

hey vault, my nat is open, i was asking if anyone had run the program nmap to see  if their port 3074 said open on both instead of filtered or open/filtered. my test was done with upnp on and pf off, and pf on and upnp off, both had same result. and my xbox one is the only xbox on my netword at the moment.

Oh got ya!
I had found some programs a few months back and tried to get 2 consoles open.
Here's all the stuff I found.

I've been talking with MS I'm in the One preview program there working with D-link to get theses issues sorted out.
Hopefully the next FW has it fixed!
I had to turn off UPNP. It works but when my console updates I go strict.
There's a workaround for that but I got tired of using it.
I just use PF at the moment.

Just FYI, if using PF, uPnP should be disabled...
