Title: is there a way to record video from these cams?

i thought dlink makes something that records video is that true? or is there some other gadget i could get? thanks for any help...

There are several hardware-based NVR devices sold by D-Link.  Alternatively, if you own one of the later generation D-Link ShareCenters (NAS), there are installable add-ons that provide scheduled recording capability for many of the D-Link camera models.

I use the free D-Viewcam Software on a mostly dedicated PC. I leave the PC on 24-7. I record to a dedicated hard drive in the PC.

Short of buying a dedicated device, D-ViewCam may be your most economical solution if you have a PC on which the software can be left running in the background.

Use the DLINK 320L Share Center NAS... it can record with the new firmware...
