Title: How extend my d-link dir-605L range
Post by: passegua on October 25, 2014, 07:58:43 AM
Hi, I am using a  d-link dir-605L router but I cannot properly reach my farther room (about 20 meters from the router).
Maybe I could buy a WDS (wireless distribution system) in order to better reach that far room?
Which one should I buy? How could I set up it?
Which is the best solution?
Many thanks.

I recommend getting into a DAP model extender unit to help further signal and range...

  • What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
  • Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

I recommend getting into a DAP model extender unit to help further signal and range...

H/W: Ver.: B1   F/W: Ver.: 2.0
Region: Italy

I do not understand which DAP model extender should I buy and how connect in order to repeat my d-link dir-605L router.

Thanks.

I'd review the DAP-1320 or 1360...
