Title: User Access Restrictions
Post by: cHilLz0Ne on November 09, 2014, 07:32:51 AM
Hey Guys,
i have a huge problem with the user access restrictions.
I have multiple users. They have different rights to access the Folders on the NAS.
My Problem is, that when a user doesnt has access to every folder, he cant see any folder on the Web interface.
When i use a FTP client, all the access rights work fine. With an FTP Client every user sees the folders, he should see. The forbidden ones dont show up.
But as i said, in the Webinterface, he cant see anything.

Can someone help me?

greets

Which web user interface are you talking about, the Admin UI or Ajaxplorer?

If it is the admin UI then there should be no way that anyone can look at individual files.

If it is the Ajaxplorer UI then only those folders that are subdirectories to the ajaxplorer folder will be visible.

It sounds as if you need to forget the web interface and map the folders to a drive letter on each individuals computer or setup fireftp as an extension in the browsers.
