Title: dns 320l subtitles
Post by: rijov on November 14, 2014, 08:41:08 AM
Hello I have dns 320l, the problem is: play movie on my dlna tv, but subtitles don't start. What is the reason of that. Subtitles are .srt and the are with the same name with films.

Use ffp and minidlna. Standard built-in dlna server cannot play subtitles.

Do you have tested steps for installing minidlna, because I tried several and not start successfully. Successful installed FFP and Twonky server but don't start subtitles by Twonky server on my LG TV.

Installation of minidlna is easy and you could made it without a problem, you will find a lot of links to the tutorials on this forum or use this  http://www.czc.cz/d-link-sharecenter-pulse-dns-320_2/86134/produkt/e01c632t2oh3aalcn13goarfn4/diskuse (it is in czech language but hope the linux commands will be clear for you). Twonky cannot stream subtitles, unfortunately. And I use the minidlna with LG lm series tv, with the subtitles :)

My minidlna is start successful but when I browse form my TV the folders are empty. When I tried to configure minidlna.conf on the command /ffp/etc/minidlna.conf its says "-sh: /ffp/etc/minidlna.conf: Permission denied". I tried with command : media_dir=/mnt/HD/HD_a2/Video/, but when start the minidlna they say " minidlna.c:611: error: Media directory "V,/mnt/HD_a2/video/" not accessible [No such file or directory]"
Where is my mistake whit configuration of the media library.
