Hi,
I just updated my DIR-868L Rev A from the US and after checking the DDNS services, there are only 2, dlinkddns.com and dyndns, there is no option for No-IP at all. Since this is noted in the change log, either it appears to be wrong, or something is missing from this firmware.

What region are you located?
Would you post a picture if what your seeing?
What a factory reset performed before and after loading the FW file and set up from scratch?
If your in the NA region, then I was tol that NO IP DNS should be support and work. You should be able to enter in values for that DDNS service provider...

Hi,
I am in the US, NA region. I did the factory reset before and after. When you pull down the tab on the DNS page you see only the 2 options.(http://s25.postimg.org/p6gy2022n/Dlink109.png)

What happens if you just type in NOIPDNS in the name box then give the rest of the NO IP DNS account values and info in the rest of the boxes? I don't think NO IP DNS will be seen as a preset value in the drop down menu, however you should be able to manually enter in the info...

Hi, I don't have a current NoIP account, but I have been looking for a free alternative since Dyndns stopped the free stuff and Dlink ddns put out a statement saying that "most devices" were eligible for 6 months of free service. I and a couple relatives use dlinkddns service, but I was concerned that they might back away from the "free" part down the line.
Anyway, I did input the NoIP information and was able to save it, but without an active account, I have no idea if it would actually do any updating. I know some brands of routers and other products do use multiple providers and I am pretty sure most of the alternative firmwares allow you to manually enter any DDNS provider. Is it possible that if this works for NoIP, it would work with other DDNS providers?
-
It may or may not be possible. You'd have to test to see if other DDNS providers work in this section. I personally don't use DDNS services at this time as I don't have a need for it. If you try it out, let us know what you find out. Yes, the presets are only for D-Links services. And it's there choice I presume to design it that way.

Thanks Furry,
If any of you guys using NoIP or other DDNS services, please feel free to chime in with your findings. I know that a work around is just to use a PC with the provider update client, but it would be nice to have this on Dlink's devices.

Does NO IP have a free service? You might try it yourself if they have a free one and see..

I downloaded the new firmware using the "check now" button search for new firmware in the router management webpage.
Since I upgraded from previous version 1.08 to 1.09. I got serious connectivity issues after a couple of hours on all clients (iphone, pc's and a windows phone). then I could restart the router and after a few hours more - same problem. I downgraded and is now back to normal.
The kids and wife are almost not angry at me anymore :-)
So I do not recommend upgrading to ver. 1.09 B09 !!!

- What region are you located?
If your in the NA region, please download the FW update file and manually install the file using the FW Update Process mentioned below and do a factory reset once more after the file is sent.
- Has a Factory Reset (http://blog.dlink.com/what-is-a-reset-button-when-should-i-use-it) been performed?
- Was a Factory Reset performed before and after any firmware updates then set up from scratch?
