Title: Go-RT-N150 streaming movies with PS3
Post by: delinkme on November 18, 2014, 01:27:32 PM
Hi,
New here - and  have some questions about the GO-RT-N150 router.

I live in Germany and was forced to buy a router as part of an internet/telephone package I bought.  The GO-RT-N150 is what I got for my 50 euros.  There was no other choice - that's what they brought in for the set-up.

Internet via laptop is usually reliable and fast, but does anyone know anything about this router and its compatibility with streaming movies?
I have it set up connected via WiFi to a PS3 to play movies on a NetFlix-type service I just signed up for.

I find that sometimes the movies will freeze or skip so often it's impossible to watch.

My service is for max 100Mbps, though actual is often between 10 and 30.

Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks

Is this a router that came from the ISP or did you buy from a retail store?

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations

Router and Wired Configurations
Some things to try: - Log into the routers web page at 192.168.0.1. Use IE, Opera or FF to manage the router. Besure to log into the Admin account on the router.

Hi,
I understand your need to have as much information as possible, but there is only so much time in a day.  I couldn't answer half of those questions without calling in a technician, which is what is probably going to have to happen anyway.
Thanks anyway.

Reason for asking these questions is so we can get an idea of your environment and to provide you with better feedback and suggestions. There are many variables to consider when trying to troubleshoot and help users fix problems.

Good Luck.
