Title: Problem with DNS-323 and Torrent file access to it
Post by: twg on June 24, 2009, 01:04:05 AM
Here's my problem:

-When I'm downloading a torrent via Bitcomet on my PC, the files are being saved onto the DNS-323, Bitcomet will freq. lose connection to the files, regardless if the DNS-323 is wired on the same router or wireless on a bridge

Here's my setup:

-DNS-323 wired to router
-XP SP3 computer wired to same router
-DNS-323 shared via IP from the PC
-LLTD turned off
-op_locks turned off (found that when it was on, caused some sharing issues)

As a result, I cannot save any torrents from Bitcomet to the DNS-323, I have to save it locally first, then copy it to DNS-323

I did a search and didn't find anything here...

Well... some more diagnosis...

I changed BT clients and no help so it's not a SW issue...

I disabled my LOM network interface and added a 3rd party network card and it seemed to help a lot... but I still get some random lost connections...

Is there some kind of limitation on network access and stability ? I'm not sure its the DNS323 but this problem is frustrating... my max DL speed is ~500kb/s so I shouldn't be stressing the network I don't think to cause much collisions ?

Have you tried another cable from the DNS-323 to the router or switch?
