- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
What format is the drive using? FAT32 or NTFS?

Hardware Version: A1
Firmware Version: 1.10WW
I am located in Romania (EU)
The drive is in NTFS Formate.

Does a smaller size NTFS formatted drive work? ???
-
No. I tried with a 32GB Drive and a 16GB (FAT32) drive. They get power but at "Storadge" it sais NUMBER DEVICES:0.
Is there any additional step that I must take besides connecting the USB Device?

I recommend trying NTFS on one of those drives if possible. If it still fails...
I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. Ask for an RMA. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

It is late here...I will try to reflash the firmware from the site and see if that solves the problem :)

Please user your regional FW for your region and follow this:
