I am unable to get VPN to work at all since I upgraded to a 4500... Does anyone have any help or advice ?? I have done some googling and am seeing reports of the 4500 not supporting GRE-47, is this true ??
Everything worked fine on my old dlink router.. Any advice would be appreciated...

Adjust the NAT endpoint filtering to endpoint independent and disable SPI.
-
That did not work... So just to be sure, I am defining 2 Virtual Server rules - TCP port 1723 & 47 to my server which i have setup for incoming vpn connections...
In the firewall section, I have unchecked Enable SPI
In each UDP & TCP Endpoint Filtering, I have selected Endpoint independent
In the ALG Configuration , all options are checked.
As of right now, the above configuration is not working.

What firmware version are you using?
-
Latest & Greatest, 1.20NA 4/27/2009
-
Ahhh...more like latest, and not so greatest.
They all seem to have some port forwarding problems, and even getting a virtual server to work.
-
Not cool at all....

Wayner.
Try these settings:
FIREWALL SETTINGS
Enable SPI Checked
NAT ENDPOINT FILTERING
Both TCP and UDP Endpoint independant Checked
ANTI-SPOOF CHECKING
Unchecked
DMZ HOST
Unchecked
APPLICATION LEVEL GATEWAY (ALG) CONFIGURATION
IPSec (VPN) : NEEDS TO BE unchecked
All others checked
The last setting is the important one...You would think VPN needs to be checked but it wont work if it is.
Hope this helps!

Thanks, but it did not work... According to the logs, I am getting a :
Blocked incoming GRE packet from (IP Address)
-
What are your ALG's set to?
-
ALGS :
PPTP - I have tried to uncheck it, but even after rebooting, it is checked again.. so Checked.
IPSEC - I have tried both on suggestion - right now - UnChecked
RTSP - Checked (never touched)
SIP - Checked (never touched)

I have VPN working on latest version.
PPTP Mac server.
I have spi Checked
Endpoint filtering address restricted
endpoint filter port and address restricted
anti spoof unchecked
dms host unchecked
ALG
all checked
I do have port fowarding for setup on virutal server
For PPTP 1723
and L2TP 4500
works for me.. Mac to Mac Server via PPTP

Still not working... This is borderline unacceptable now..
Working for some, not for others... wth..
