Title: ddns(dlinkddns.com) status are "Disconnected"

Region : ASIA
Firmware : 1.09

ddns(dlinkddns.com) status are always  "Disconnected"

At the 868L Logs:
Not a full qualified domain name reported from 'DLinkDDNS.com' for 'myhostname'.
Reach the maxinum retry (5 times) to update 'myhostname' ((NULL)) to 'DLinkDDNS.com'. Stop updating.

At the dlinkddns site:
My Hostname displayed normally but with out-dated IP Address.

What should i do? plz help me.

• Was a Factory Reset performed before and after any firmware updates then set up from scratch?

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations

• What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
• What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?

Hi,
Temporarily, you can do a manual update via the dlinkddns site and change your IP, but this will do nothing for you in the long run if it's not working reliably.  I have had rare but periodic problems with dlinkddns not getting updated, but this is via their NAS devices.  Luckily, IP's don't change as often as you might expect for most ISP's. 
A longer lasting work around would be to install client software on a networked PC which you use the most.  I am pretty sure the Dyndns software can be configured to update the dlinkddns service.

Hi,

the log message indicates that you didn't specify the domain in the field Host Name: of the DYNAMIC DNS configuration section of your DIR-868L router. Instead of 'somehost' you have to specify the full name 'somehost.somedomain.someTLD' according to what you have registered at https://www.dlinkddns.com/.

Full domain name (including dlinkddns.com) made it works!
