Title: Wireless Issues with 860L
Post by: pnwbob on December 13, 2014, 12:15:40 AM
I'm experiencing the same issue with my 860L. However the time between reboots for me is generally on the order of weeks. I don't think it is related to settings since it works flawlessly for weeks and then none of the 2.4GHz devices can connect. The 5GHz wifi doesn't exhibit any of the issues. When I check to see why the connection failed on my Android phone it shows "Authentication error occurred".
I have slowly changed the options in the wireless settings one at a time and it never works until I physically reboot the router.
To test if it is interference I've left it running without rebooting to see if I can connect for 24 hours and I still get the authentication error.

My firmware version is:
1.08 Mon 03 Mar 2014

I don't believe there is anything more current.

Router Placement
Forum User - "Well I feel really dumb. After moving the router away from other electronic devices my speeds are back to normal. Just a heads up for anyone experiencing slow speeds, you might want to move it away from other electronics and see if that helps."
3-6' feet minimum safe distance between devices.
Placement on main level floor and central in the building and WELL ventilated is preferred. Not in basements or closets as building materials, or near by electronics devices could interfere or hinder good signal propagation.
