Title: COD4 Load screen F/W 1.15 (PC user)

I remember reading awhile back about another user with similar problem (used search, and did not find).

Before upgrading to 1.15, I could open COD4 Multiplayer or join a server through Xfire and it would come up almost instantly.

Then after upgrading, and also reinstalling upload cfg, and reinstalling and manually configuring with the 1.15 firmware.... COD4 multiplayer takes minutes to load.

Does anyone know if the new 1.20 F/W has fixed this problem? I have it downloaded and ready to install, but just nervous to see that it might waste my time.

I would not put 1.20 on there...My COD4 screens would hang and sometimes disconnect after the setting up game screen. I found 1.16b worked better than 1.15 and 1.20 (for me personally). Also, you should probably read the threads on 1.20/1.21.

Yeah 1.16b would probably be your best post 1.02 option.  Absolutely avoid 1.20+ as it will ruin your router.
