Title: How to mount usb on multimedia shares

hi all.. just bought this nas although it is a very good purchase for what it does but i cannot seem to figure out how do i mount or add a link so that my external usb drive appears on multimedia shares.. i have external usb drive with tons of media files which i want to connect to and stream accross my home lan thanks hopefully someone can guide
