Title: Help Please! Moving disks between NASs
Post by: winchesterstoke on December 28, 2014, 06:21:22 AM
Hi, is there any way of putting in a disk into my new DNS-320L - which I've been using in my old DNS-320?

When I try use the Set-Up Wizard or the Admin page - both register the disk then require me to reformat (which since I've got close to 2TB of data on there I really don't want to do!)?

Many thanks!

The DNS-320L uses a Linux filesystem that departs from the DNS-320. Unfortunately, this means that JBOD and RAID configurations are not portable between the two devices.
