Hi
first time poster here ;D
soon after I updated (DNS323)to firmware ver 1.08, I'm unable to delete files or folders from my BT(bittorrent) directory, funny cause I have full permissions on other folders, it seems like anything downloaded from torrents are locked and I dont have sufficient privileges to delete them, anyone else having this problem?
I have tried resetting and adding new users with mac & win systems all connected in the same network without luck:/
last thing I want to do is revert to firmware ver 1.06

Same thing for me,
I cant update tags with MP3 tag editor, while the songs are located in the Completed folder,
I already downgrade to 1.07 and start to have problems acessing the web interface,
They should add this to 1.08 bugs

Correct. You will want to move the file out of this folder once the download is complete.

Did you "Remove Completed" from the BT client on the file was done downloading?

yup did that too, no cigar.

Try running the torrent again and allow it to do it file check and finish then click the "Remove Completed"button and then try to move the file out of the folder. I had a similar issue with a file and it then allowed me to remove the file.
Does this happen to every file you have ever downloaded?
You are running the beta code 1.08? This is odd because this was an issue with the first BT firmware release and since then has not been such an issue.

Outside this forum, this is a well known problem with BT on the DNS-323 - since its introduction - see other fora. Try this

In short, as you have found, it is not possible to delete or to move anything from the BT directory by normal means. You can copy these files to another location. It seems you have to 'telnet in' with intergalactic privileges (777 is mentioned) to move or to delete files. As I found out, my Linux knowledge does not extend that far.
I eventually reformatted the drive to remove these directories. After doing that a couple of times, I changed back to leaving my main PC running. Not electricity power efficient but less problematic.
It is what has prompted a number of us to use ShadowAndy's mldonkey with sancho.

Take a look at this one.

Since FW 1.05 this has been a problem - cannot move or delete BT directory files.
I can report that it is still (the same) problem on FW 1.08.
