I purchased this system because it worked with the Windows Phone operating system. The MyDlink Lite App worked great (although a little slow and controls were intermittent). The Dlink powers that be decided to IMPROVE the app so they sent me an update to my app. Now I can't do what I originally bought the system for which is connect with my phone. The app starts and when the little blue dots begin to spin the app shuts down. I have had some communication with a person from support but he acts as though he can only get info on my problem and pass it along not knowing if anyone will read it and correct the problem. My computer still connects to the camera just fine but I don't intend to carry my computer around with me. My phone is now useless. >:(

I also bought the DLINK DCS-5222L because it should have an app working on my Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone. However, while the remote control works properly using my PC browser, there is no way to have that app work appropriately unless I am connected in wireless at home: even with a 4G GSM connection on my smartphone and a fiber ADSL connection at home (where it is connected the webcam), the app often crashes and it is too slow to allows a useful remote control. Please update it and provide a proper way to handle your webcam from Windows Phone smartphone!!

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

I contacted D-Link by phone and have a case number. Waiting for some response on getting the problem corrected. We'll see what they do. I have a feeling that Windows based phones are not on the top of their list.

Still no response from D-Link. I wonder if they really read these things. You would think they would try to fix a minor bump in the road like mine since there are a lot of windows users that probably would use this system. I've talked to a number of people who thought my camera system was really cool and wanted to get one. I am now telling them to look elsewhere for someone that responds better to problems.

I just reported to Microsoft that the app has poor performance. Maybe they will do something.

Any status on this? ???
