Title: D-Viewcam Discontinued

I was just on the phone with a dlink representative and asked about an updated manual for version 3.63. I was told that d-viewcam will no longer be supported as dlink only wants to sell its own recorders. You can of course still use the software, but since it has never really worked with windows 8.1, you know it will not work with the next version of windows. So hold onto those windows 7 computers if you want to use this software?
P.S does anyone know where to find a manual for version 3.6.3. ?  I cannot make it work.

I'm really upset to hear that D-Link is discontinuing support for and/or providing the D-View Cam software.  The program is awesome, and is one of the main reasons I continue using  D-Link wireless and wired IP cameras.

The D-ViewCam application was not discontinued.  Do you have a case number from your conversation? What phone number did you call for support?  What was the approximate date/time of the call? Please send me a private message (PM) with details so I can follow-up.

I came across a manual for D-ViewCam v4.01 that was published on Nov 3, 2014 but no corresponding software (as of yet). The manual indicates 'Win 8" support.
