Am I able to setup ip bandwith up/down speeds to devices like PC/Xbox. I want to control how much bandwith each devices get for example I would like to throttle my sons Xbox to a lower bandwith like 1mb up and 3mb down is there a way. I have only found one router that will support this and that's the TP link routers. Anyone ?

- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
- What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
- What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?
- Is ISP Modem/Service using Dynamic or Static WAN IP addressing?
- What ISP Modem service link speeds UP and Down do you have?
With this model router, you can drag and drop any device into the QoS sections,High, Medium or Low. I suggest that you put your sons device into the low section and any other devices you want to ensure that you get good bandwidth too, put in the medium section or one in the High section and test. Reserve the IP address first for ALL devices ON the router then place in the desired section, save and reboot.

Look at this and you'll see the QoS section an how it looks:

If you don't think that this will work best for you, you may want to check out a DIR-868L instead. Same AC modes accept for 2.4Ghz only supports 450Mb connections instead of 600Mb. QoS is like described here:
