Title: Problems with connection manager for D-Link DWM-156
Post by: Bruce Lee539 on January 31, 2015, 03:51:26 AM
Hi all,

I am using a DWM-156 with a 3G sim card. The unit works fine and i have no issues with connections or calling / texting from the unit.
My Question is this;
When you receive text messages through the dongle they all just appear in the INBOX section of the connection manager. I would like to have have to same functionality as microsoft outlook, to be able to create additional folders and rules to place text messages from certain senders into specific folder based on the contact that is saved in the contacts list / address book. is this possible with the connection manager, how can i do it or is there another programme i can work through to do this automatically ?

Further information:
I am installing a number of Vehicle trackers into a number of my fleet.
the units communicate by using text messages and i have a number of sim cards with unlimited texts between them.
one sim is installed in the dongle (DWM-156) and the others in the trackers.
the phone number for the trackers have been saved into my contacts with the vehicle reg so we know at a glance which unit we communicate with.
this is why i would like to have the ability to make a rule and send the messages into their own folders within the inbox.

if the D-Link connection manager cant support this management of texts then i hope you might be able to suggest an alternative connection manager programme that would.

I recommend reviewing the User Manual for any information regarding this. Also, I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
