Title: Need Help, I deleted my NAS's profile and now can't access the hard drive
Post by: maxthumb on February 15, 2015, 03:35:29 AM
A few months ago I deleted my NASs profile (for lack of a better word) which means now I can still use my NAS, but the main partition that I had ALL my files in no longer shows up. I know the files are all still there but the hard drive won't mount on a computer.

I bought a Harddrive adaptor so now I can plug it directly into the computer.
But the files, nor the hard drive do not show up. (I only have a MAC computer)
The computer realises that the hard drive is plugged in, (as its there in Disk Utility) but it won't mount any of the partitions.
I have got Linux on a USB and even on that it does not show up.

Is there any way I can grab the data and reformat the Harddrive to use again without paying for those expensive programs that take days to retrieve the info?
Is there a way I can fix the hard drive so it is viewable?

Thanks
Max

Please post your ShareCenter model number in the thread subject and body so we can route this issue to the proper product board.

Next time, please give the model # of your DNS product.

Thank you.
