Can I use QOS on a DSL-2750U to limit my uplink speed? When the uplink is saturated then the downlink does not work (this is a known ADSL problem). I would like to set the uplink to 90% of the line speed to fix this. Can my DSL-2750U do this? I see that that the QOS of the DIR-855 has this functionality (http://support.dlink.com/emulators/dir855/Traffic_Shaping.html).

Link>Welcome! (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=48135.0)
- What Hardware version is your modem? Look at the sticker under modem.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the modems web page under status.
- What region are you located?
We find that some DSL Modems have some or limited QoS features. You may want to get into a DIR series router and connect it to the DSL modem. Bridge the DSL Modem and let the DIR series router handle the PPPoE/QoS which has better QoS features.
Some examples:
DIR-645/835/868L/865L/826L Gaming and QoS for XBL (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=44869.0)

Thanks for the reply.
Hardware version: T1
Firmware: AF_1.72_R01 (default)
Country: South Africa
I guess I will have to use a DIR. Which would be the cheapest that has this option?

Probably a DIR-6## or 6##L series router. L is a Cloud feature supporting router.
I recommend contacting your regional D-Link support office to see what is available for your region.
