hi,
i have a dir-862L router.
i would like to attach an external 4tb seagate usb drive to it.
i realize this can't be done through the router usb port cause there is a 500gb to 1tb limit.
i read there might be a workaround using a USB to Ethernet converter, but i dont understand how that would help?

instead, Would a Network Attached Storage (NAS) Adapter like these work?

thank you.

Link>Welcome! (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=48135.0)
- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
I would pose that question to the Mfr of those products as they will have more detailed information on them...Let us know what they say.

Any status on this? ???
