Title: Using DIR 655 to extend Airport
Post by: summers365247 on February 22, 2015, 11:10:24 AM
I have an i mac with built in airport wi-fi.  Does anyone know how to use a D-Link DIR-655 to act as a range extender?  Any help is appreciated.

You can only do this with the 655:

Hi and thanks for the quick reply.  I'm in the US and have firmware version 2.00  .. Just downloaded most recent update from Dlink.  It seems like from the instruction, I'll need another external router.  I'll get one and let you know how it works out

Review D-links DAP series of extenders. Let us know what you find and end up getting.

What is the size of the area your trying to extend?
This a multi level building or single level?
