Hi,
I have DSL6740U router.
When I try to set the number of concurrent WiFi users to any number higher than 16 (Setup --> Wireless Settings --> Wireless Basics --> Max Clients) I get an error message saying that the number must be between 1-16.
I guess this limitation is included in the firmware itself. Are there any firmware versions that eliminate this limitation (or have higher limit)?
If not - is there any workaround to bypass this limitation and have more than 16 users connect to WiFi on the same time?
Thanks in advance
Ronen

- What Hardware version is your modem? Look at the sticker under modem.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the modems web page under status.
- What region are you located?
There maybe limits on how many wireless client that can be connected. If you need more, you may need a different model modem or a AP or external router to connect to this modem to add additional wireless connections.
I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
