Title: Standard HDD Configuration or RAID?
Post by: master.xur on March 08, 2015, 02:11:55 PM
I have a question regarding HDD config, on DNS-327L.

Existing HDD1 is configured as a Standard Configuration. When I installed it, didn`t think about adding new HDD. Now, I have to add one.
So HDD1 is at Standard Configuration, and full of data.

I inserted a new HDD and also configured it as Standard config.
Problem is that while using FTP to address dlink IP, I can`t see volume_2. Neither with MiniDLNA server, besides the fact that I updated all path for HDD2. Only Volume_1 is shown.
Is there any solution to see HDD2 under same IP adress as Volume_2 (also for MiniDLNA server) since I can see Volume_1 or I should use RAID option?

And about RAID option. Looks like that I have to format both HDD while setting RAID? I couldn`t simply use HDD2 and format it as RAID and after to add HDD1, after transfer all data?
Problem is that I don`t have third HDD to backup all data from HDD1.!

Any solution will help me. Thanks in advance.
