Hello,
New to this forum so I hope I'm in the right spot. I recently updated the firmware in my DLINK-615 (hardware version C1) to 3.13NA. Prior to this, I had no problem running an app that had a TELNET connection. Now, with 3.13NA, that TELNET connection drops if there is no incoming or outgoing traffic on the open TELNET port for some period, I'm guessing between 3 and 5 minutes. If there is frequent and steady traffic, the TELNEt connection stays alive.
Is there some new setting in 3.13NA which will get me back to a solid TELNET connection even if there's a period of idle traffic? Even some way too periodically send an outgoing ping might keep it up.
Thanks

- Was the router working before any firmware updates? You might try going back to the last know working FW version.

Have NOT done a factory reset, either before the FW update to 3.13NA or after.
The router was working before the firmware update. It is also working fine after the update except for this pesky TELNET timeout issue for lack of traffic.
ISP is via Cable. Don't have the ISP modem Mfr and model handy. but same gear that was working OK, including TELNET, before the FW 3.13NA upgrade.

Does your Telnet client provide a "keep alive" feature?
You may need to downgrade FW...If you do, follow that FW Process that was linked in the previous post.
