Has anyone gotten daylight saving time to work on the DIR-655 rev. C1, (I have 3.02 firmware)? Checking the Daylight Saving Time checkbox has no effect. Tech support is worthless and just wasted my time telling me to do the obvious, which of course I had already done. I'd sure like to know if it is working for others. It displays standard time regardless if the box is checked or not. (Tools | Time in the menu).

Are you using the NTP services? Which server are you using if you have this enabled?
Does manually setting Time work?

This is a brand new router right out of the box. It never worked with DST. I upgraded to FW 3.02 because tech support aked me to, but that made no difference. The check box for DST is simply being ignored. Tried different time zones and all fail to give me DST. No I did not do a factory reset because it came factory reset. I am using the Univ. of MN time server which I use for other software. I have Comcast cable Internet. I'd really like someone to actually look at this with their router, as it is either a design flaw or my router is bad, which I doubt. Go to Tools | Time and check the DST box and set your time server and reboot and see if it displays DST. The old DIR-655 I have has an offset box you can set, but this one does not.

Ok I hooked mine up. Actually connected it to my DIR-868L double NAT and set the IP address of the 655 into the 868Ls DMZ for good measure.
I'm in Mountain time zone:

both time zones correctly displayed the time with DST enabled and NTP server set and enabled.

Thank you. I do not get the cDt label even with DST enabled. Hmmm.

cDt label? ???

Just for the record, mine didn't adjust either. I'm using the beta firmware because mine had wandering time with the 2.11 version. Mine is the older "B" router.

Please here about your observations:

FurryNutz, "CDT" label meaning Central Daylight Time. I don't get that display even with DST enabled. Also my display is different than yours. I get time in the format of "Wednesday March 18, 2015 12:38:00 PM. Also you have the wrong date for the beginning of Daylight Saving time. It was the 2nd Sunday. Also my display shows "Enable Daylight Saving Time:" on one line not two like your display shows.
-
I'll have a look again to see if mine has Central time zone. I'll re-test with the 2nd Sunday however that probably won't make any differences as that only tells the DST when to take effect.
Please post a picture of what your seeing on your router:

If I could figure out how to upload an image I would post a picture of my router setup. I am new to this board, but it seems pretty user unfriendly to me. I have tried other time zones and they all fail.
-
I provided a link on how to post a picture here in the forums.

Sorry, don't know how I missed that. Here is a picture of my router setup page. Note the time in the system tray of my computer which is the correct CDT. This was taken several days ago. I don't have it online right now. I guess it did not display the day of week like I said. I've also tried other time servers and other time zones and nothing will display DST. This picture was taken immediately after a router reboot. Firmware=3.02.

Ok. Did you try the default dlink ntp server as well?
What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?
I'll check mine again with the Central zone and see what happens.
-
I don't see what any of that has anything to do with the problem, but yes I did try the d-link time server. Comcast Business IP Gateway modem (SMC 8014) cable Internet. My D-Link DIR-655 version A4 works fine for DST with this modem etc.

Ok, heres Central zone:

and Eastern zone:

I adjusted the DST date for the 2nd.

Why does it say MDT even when you have CDT or EDT selected?
-
I presume due it being my actual zone location...

I did some troubleshooting with my router and am now more confused than before. I hooked up the router to my modem and hooked only one computer into the router and now the daylight saving time works. I have a very complex network here with many computers, switches, and two more routers acting as access points so something on the network must be causing a problem with the time in the router. I need to narrow it down more.
I still don't see how you get that MDT suffix to the time display. I don't get that on my router. :)
-
Check the other routers. IF they are servicing any time services, could be introducing problems.
-
Any status on this? ???
