Hi all,
had this camera for a little while - noticed now at night time after an abundance of modem and DNR202L problems, the image quality is now grainy at night time through the playback facility when I log directly into my DNR.
Its recording at 1280x720 4M with a frame rate of 30 exactly the same the whole time Ive had it, also have never had to change the image settings.
(Dont even start me on the issues Ive had with the DNR..... seem to be resolved at the moment, touch wood)
Only thing different is that I have a new Dlink router, and am now running on the 5GHZ band to avoid 2.4GHZ congestion.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks
Luke

With only a single LED for nighttime infrared illumination, these cameras have very poor range in the dark. Night images will always be grainy unless you are talking about a distance only a few feet from the camera. You can improve their night vision substantially by adding a separate IR lamp to help the camera see in the dark.

I have the same issue with my 2330L great video during the day grainy at night. My 932L's have better video. I can't believe it only has one led. D link states it has 15 feet night time vision. But the video is so grainy ,you can't get details Why would have only 1 led when the camera is used outside. I'm temped to take it back for refund.
