Hey everyone.
Topic says it all, like they say. Having bought a D-Link DAP-1360 for my parents (hardware version C1, firmware version 3.04 for usage in the European Union hardware region), I'd like to set it up at their summertime trailer park (that has a local WiFi-network). Since I'm more or less a total newbie in terms of setting up networks, I really appreciate some help! :)
- Having read the official PDF-manual, I understand that the DAP-1360 is capable of running in a few different modes. I'd like the DAP-1360 to "catch" the existing network on the camp site and route it to an all new, password-protected network with its own SSID that only my parents will be able to access. Is this at all possible using the DAP-1360?
- Provided that it actually is possible, where in the DAP-1360 settings do I fill in the SSID and the passphrase I'd like to use for the "local" trailer network that feeds off the "root" network that spans across the entire camp site? It's kind of embarrassing to admit, but I can't find the SSID/passphrase forms anywhere even though the DAP-1360 is supposed to work as a router on its own.
To illustrate what I'm trying to achieve in a more graphical way, the attached picture will hopefully explain it in a bit further. Any help is most welcome!
