Hi!
Camera was working great for one month now. But, since this morning, Day mode image is heavily out of focus! Only when I come close to it my face becomes sharp. Everything else in a distance is blurred. However, when I switch to Night/IR/b-w mode, the image is sharp and normal again!
I am not talking about blurred moving objects, but static image.
I suspected the bulb in the corridor shining on the lens, but that did not change since yesterday. Anyway, I tried shading the camera, covering the bulb, even switching it off... Also I restarted camera, but still, nothing changes.
The manual does not mention focusing at all.
Please help with advice, or at least explaining what is going on.

Maybe a dumb question - but is the lens clean ? Does sound odd....
-
yes, lens is clean. it just seems like autofocus doesnt work. the image is sharp at 15cm away from the lens, but i am not recording a blossoming flower...

What FW version is loaded on the camera?
Has a factory reset been performed at any point?
-
Yes, seems that reinstaling the last FW did the trick. It was already 1.04.00, but i played dumb and clicked Update Firmware. It went through without a hitch, and, so far, the problem with focus is also gone!
-
Awesome. Glad its working better. Enjoy. ;)

unfortunately, 3 days after the firmware update the problem returned... day mode picture is again out of focus, with night mode being ok. i am owervriting the firmware again, and we will see if it will help, but anyway this is great disappointment...
-
no. firmware update definitely didnt help this time... :(

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
