Title: LAN Not working, even though the PCs can connect to the internet!
Post by: Somu on April 05, 2015, 02:13:34 PM
I have a D-Link DIR 615 Router, HardwareVer T1, FirmwareVer 20.05. I'm running a Win 8.1 x64 on one machine and a Win 8 x64 on another.

For some odd reason, I can connect to the internet, but I can't ping one computer from the other. The Active Wired Client Table shows both computers, with an automatically assigned IP address via DHCP. I tried connecting the two PCs via my old iBall router and the LAN started working. But for some reason, I just can't make it work while using the DIR 615.

So, I guess there must be something wrong with the router/settings on the router, right? Any ideas? And and all help will be appreciated. :) What am I doing wrong?

Some things to try: - Log into the routers web page at 192.168.0.1. Use IE, Opera or FF to manage the router. Besure to log into the Admin account on the router.
