Title: Difference between H/W version B1 and B2
Post by: nettewurk on April 10, 2015, 05:20:55 AM
This is just trivial questions concerning difference of B1 and B2 versions.  For not features, are there performance disparities between these versions?  I have many D-Link products which have many difference H/W versions, Ax, Bx, Cx, Dx and so on.  Is there a D-Link site listing the summary differences between H/W versions of diferent routers, IP cameras, etc.

There might be if you can find an old manual to compare with.
On the 5222l,you lose the remote which i loved. The camera had an extremely wider angle too.

But yeah everything is up for grabs with me HW revision.

I was speaking to differences with A and B. Not sure about this B1 and B2.

Thanks for that response.   Maybe due to S/W or F/W improvement, I assume that you can use now your gadgets (smartphone, tablet...) in controlling the camera.  I've read that chipset is replaced from an older H/W version but it would be nice to know what improves (and not deviate maybe due to cost consideration).

You could use gadgets before.
The entire guts are probably new. Doesn't even look the same on the outside.
