Hello, not sure if this is the right section for a problem.
i currently have 100 mbs speed, and my dlink is only catching like 30- 50 mbs. was wondering if theres a way to speed it up
anyone knows?
Thanks. again sorry if im posting this in the wrong section

Theoretical speed of 100Mbps cannot be achieved due to some factors from interference, client adapter's specs, encryption/cipher mode, etc and other factors affecting its throughput. Attaining 50% or more speed would OK in my opinion. The cable throughput would depend on both connecting terminals condition because both ends may have firewall or real-time scanner may put some lag in the transmission rate also. If WiFi, DIR-320 we had in our office operates at WiFi b/g only so it can operate only at 54MBbps, max out. Is the model or specs right? Speed is mutually established by 2 terminals connecting. The lower speed specs only would be attained even the rated speed of other end is greater than the other side.

Sorry forgot to mention it, if i connect my modem to my PC directly. it reaches almost 100 mbs. im using cable not Wifi, i was lagging alot on my ps4 too. so i had it increased. but from what im seeing now my problem seems to be the router and not the internet itself.
Ye its a old router called DIR-320, least what it says below it ;D tbh ive no idea what to do. i resetted it because i opened some doors for ps4 and enabled dmz. none of that worked. now that i increased the connection speed its working at 30% capacity. cable should reach at least 90 MB's
